Description
Hannah Delightful Wheeler is a painter with Swiss heritage. The window of her shared studio in Bude stops many in their tracks. Hannah’s artwork has been influenced by a bohemian upbringing and an alternative education. Being brought up on the North Devon coastline in an isolated old cottage without the distractions of modern life made drawing by candlelight her favourite past-time. Living simply and without electricity helped develop an overactive imagination and a fascination with dark corners. She now paints high contrast narrative work on wooden panels. Using literature as a starting point, her artwork is often built around impressions or phrases from favourite books.
